Ok, I hope it's called an Ohio star. I made this for my sister-in-law and her partner in January 2012. They said they wanted something primarily blue. I wanted a large scale applique and I used the one from the book Flower Festival 50 Applique Blocks to Grow Your Garden by Kim Schaefer. I really liked this because most of the applique I had done before was small scale and this was big. The corner blocks I think were about 24" each so it went really fast. Turned our really pretty too.
