My sister got married on Halloween this year. She asked me to make some signs for the wedding and she didn't want cute ones, she wanted scary ones so here's what I came up with. All of the signs are 11"x 17".

Cards: Halloween Themed Birthday Card
Craft: Disney UP Themed Wedding, Part 3 Other Decorations
I made 12 little altoid tin suitcases. I used the handles and buckles from Tim Holtz. I made little folded paper dresses and shirt & ties to go in them. For the gift bags, I made larger paper dresses and added them to gift bags. I made all the invitation and reply card envelopes using plain paper that I inked with balloons.
Craft: Disney UP Themed Wedding, Part 2, Big UP House
Here's the views of the house that I made at 200% from the little UP houses. It was approximately 14"x16"x 20". I mounted the paper to foam core and hot glued the sides. The house was from darcyeprevost.com.
Craft: Disney UP Themed Wedding Part 1, Little Houses
My daughter was having a Disney UP themed wedding. I started looking around for some thing I could make for center pieces and found these from darcyeprevost.com. I made 5 houses. They are on a paper bowl base that I added a whole bunch of punch flowers. The balloons were crepe paper covered batting that I hot glued to a straw.
Costume: Steampunk Explorer
I found the blogger on youtube call Lost Wax and he's awesome. I bought his steampunk hat pattern and it was great. Easy to follow directions and lot's of sizes. The top hat turned out great.
I used craft foam and decorative dots to make the hats. It took about 3 coats of spray paint to make sure all the nooks and crannies were covered. |
These are the bracers I made out of pleather, gears, gromets, and compasses. |
I steampunked some preschool binoculars we've had for about 20 years. |
His jet pack is an orange juice container, 2 soda bottles, 2 snow cone cups, a tuna can, and some gears and tubing. |
Used up some material I've had for about 15 years, a scarf no one had ever used, added the goggles that we found to the hat and he's a pretty cool steampunk explorer! |
Craft: 4th of July Swag
I decided I wanted to have some July 4th decorations but I didn't want to go buy anything. So I raided by red, white, and blue paper and went to town making stars. I really liked how everything turned out and now I'm set for the next 4th.
Cards: Need to Find My Flight
I've gotten into card making this year and am really enjoying it.
Here's a card I made for my mom. She was coming to visit and wanted to know what her seat number was for her flight. We hadn't reserved a seat so I had to call and reserve one. Every time she would call, I'd realized I hadn't reserved her seat yet. When I finally did, I made a card to let her know:
