Halloween: Steampunk Explorer

Here's my steampunk explorer with all of his gadgets.  We happened to find a pair of old glasses that went with a game that we've lost and they were perfect.

His jet pack was 2 soda bottles, slushie cups, tuna can, dishwasher hose, L braces, and an orange juice container.  It came together pretty well.  The only thing I would add is that when you spray paint some plastics, they tend to melt.

I added a light bulb and spring to the top of his top hat.  He's ready to explore!

Halloween: Steampunk Top Hat, Bracers, Binoculars

These are hats that I made for my sons from https://gumroad.com/lostwaxoz?sort=page_layout.  Chris Huebert has awesome patterns that are made from foam.  He has videos on his projects and the instructions are clear and very good.  I used craft foam that I've had for years to make these.  The only thing I changed was I used craft dots instead of using epoxy.

These bracers used old pirate compasses that I had left over from a birthday party from years ago.

I steampunked these play binoculars that we've had for at least 20 years and I was wanting to get rid of anyway.
