Knitting: Scarf

This scarf won 1st place at the OK State Fair.  It was a free pattern on Ravelry, which I can't find right now but I really liked how it turned out.

Knitting: Brown knee highs

I really liked how these turned out but they got a 6th place at the OK State Fair.  They are very warm.

Costume: Duct Tape There was an old woman who swallowed a fly

Here's T. duct tape costume "There was on old woman who swallowed a fly".  It won first place for it's category at the OK State Fair and 2nd overall in the duct tape category.  The letter is done on my cricut machine.  You can put duct tape on your mat and run it through your machine under the vinyl setting.  It worked great for all the little flowers and petals as well.

Halloween Costume: Steampunk Alice in Wonderland

Here's Kateri's steampunk Alice in Wonderland costume.  I wrote some of the text on the corset.  It is a very costume corset and would not work as a real corset.  There is a bottle and watch at the end of the chain that is hard to see in the picture.

Knitting: Selbudeath Socks

Just finished my pair of blue and navy selbudeath socks.  Each sock takes 2 balls of yarn because of all the yarn overs.  I found the pattern on ravelry.  I had to modify them a little because when my daughter tried it on, she couldn't get them over her ankle.  They look huge on the table but they are very shapely and pretty when worn.  I'm making another pair right now in black and pink.  I have one sock made and I ran out of black and now I have black yarn again, so I'm off to make the second sock.

Quilt: Monster Quilt

Haven't posted in a while because I've been working on this.  This is the "Little Monster" quilt from Don't Look Now! The circles are trupuntoed (sp?).  I'm working on a second one.  Just finished pinning it and it's now all ready to quilt.  This one is a gift and the next one is for my youngest.  The monsters all turned out really cute.  I did a simple stipple quilting all over.  It's 82" x 61" and the back in a red and white poka dot.

Auction: Wine bottle covers

We had a 60's theme for our school's auction.  These are the wine bottle covers I made.  They are groovy couples and mod couples.  The groovy guy has blue jeans, white shirt, vest, shell necklace and wig.  The groovy gal has calico dress, bead necklace, and wig with flower.  The mod guy has smoking jacket with tie and fedora.  The mod gal has shift dress and cap.  There were 20 couples.

Sewing: T-shirt upcycle

I bought 2 large t-shirts, made sleeves out of one and modified the neckline of my base tshirt.  The rosettes are just rolled material from the spare shirt that I sewed down.  I'm happy with the finished project and I've washed it a few times and everything is still in place.

Sewing: Sweater redo

My husband's sweater had a lot of holes in it so I made it into a sweater for my son.  I cut off the bottom of the sweater and the bottom of the arms and I cut off the ribbing around the collar.  I just sewed everything back together and now my son has a cute sweater for next year.

Quilting: Little Monsters quilt top

Here's what I'm working on now.  I'm making 2 Little Monster Quilts by Don't Look Now!  One is a gift and one's for my little monster.  I have one center panel done and I'm almost done with the second.  I have a pieced border to go after that.  I'll post another picture once I have the borders on.

Knitting: Hazel the Humpback

Been busy since our school's auction.  Here's my first completed knitted project for the year.  Hazel the Humpback by Bec Brittain, a free pattern on raverly.com.  It was a great project.  My hazel is 36" not the 26" in the pattern.  My son wants to play with it and it's just as big as he is.
